Happy Wino Wednesday everyone!
Lindsay and I are always happy when Wino Wednesday comes around and when we can connect with you all. Remember, we changed the rules and while you’re more than welcome to dish on your favorite wine, we’ve opened it up so that you can talk about virtually anything – like you would do when you’re out for drinks with friends.
It’s been a hot second since I’ve filled you all in and done a life lately round-up, so lets catch up!
We are finally all coming out of having the plague. The kids and I were sick last week, which turned into an ear infection for my daughter. We laid pretty low at home, and although we were sick it really made me crave Summer. As crazy as they drive me, there’s nothing like being home with my babies.
It’ is officially beach season around here! We decided to kick off the weekend at the beach last Friday. I prefer to go when it isn’t as hot outside, so we got to the beach a little before 5 and enjoyed the breeze, and the water. Not to mention the golden hour is one of the most beautiful especially at the beach!
I escaped all of the sickness last week and got a much needed mani/pedi. It was amazing! I went to a new-ish salon in the area, it was so pretty and bonus they gave me a glass of wine. After feeling lousy and taking care of the kids who were feeling lousy, it was a great treat. I went with a bright pink which I’m loving!
I’ve been taking A Beautiful Mess’ Blog Life Class. It’s a self taught class, which I’m taking my time to complete. I’ve read through about seven lessons and I’m really enjoying it. They make some great points, and I feel like they give you a lot of information on how to better your blog space. The thing with blogging is that it’s always evolving, and there are so many pieces to it – there’s no way to know everything and because of that sometimes you can feel a little down-hearten. If any of you are looking to expand your blogging knowledge for feel like you need a little kick in your step, you should try this class out!
A couple of weeks ago there was a wine that was BOGO at Pubix, it was one of those wines where it was originally a $20 bottle. I love when they have deals like that and that I can try a wine that’s a little more spendy for half the price. The wine is called The Cleaver, it was insanely delicious! It’s supposed to pair really well with meats (hence the name) but I had it on it’s own. I of course bought a couple of more bottles; so next time I try it, I’ll try it with a piece of steak.
This week is Teacher Appreciation week, and while I believe in always showing my daughter’s teacher how much I appreciate her (it’s definitely not the easiest of jobs). I couldn’t let this week go unnoticed. I got both of her teachers a box of teacher decorated cupcakes from one of the most amazing bakeries down here. My daughter also made her teachers a handmade card each. I’m really going to miss her teachers next year. As you all know I had thought about home schooling in the past – and still may do it in the future – but I couldn’t think of a better teacher for her to have had this year, she’s the best!
Ok, now it’s your turn to link up, we can’t wait to catch up with you all! xx
