If you follow me on Instagram you know I spilled some beans the other day. We are expecting our third baby in November!!
This was honestly quite the shock for us. We always talked about maybe having a third, but never committed to actually having one… until now, ha. We are very excited to add one more to the bunch. My husband is one of four, and I’ve always admired hanging around him and his siblings. They always tell stories, have fun banter and it’s always a good time when we are around the family table. I grew up with my sister and I, and we also had our cousin around a lot who was like our sister growing up, but I always thought it would be neat to grow up with a lot of siblings so I’m happy my kids will get to.
We found out we were pregnant the first weekend in March so that’s mostly why I’ve been MIA on here. While I’ve been feeling much better with this pregnancy than with the other two, you can’t deny the exhaustion (and nausea!) that comes along with a pregnancy. Most nights I just crash, totally intending to write a post, but it never happens.
I’m usually not one to say anything before the first trimester, but it was hard to keep this one to myself. I’m 10 weeks and change now so the first trimester is coming to an end and I felt (mostly) comfortable sharing the news. We told the kids pretty early on, because let’s face it – they’re getting older and hear EVERYTHING we talk about so it’s hard to keep any type of secret. They were both so excited. My daughter started jumping around and my son came up to my belly and hugged it, it was the sweetest thing. They can’t wait to have their brother or sister here and already talk and kiss by belly daily. I know I’m going to have two great helpers once the baby gets here.
So what does all of this news mean for Kids and Cabernet? What can you be expecting to see? Well, let’s be honest – lately it’s been hard for me to get on here much. But, I miss it and want to document this pregnancy. With that being said, I also don’t want to bore everyone so – I plan to do a review of every trimester and I’ll break the pregnancy up then in each post. Kind of like a trimester in review. Obviously, my goal of doing more Wino Wednesday posts will have to be put on the back burner. But… be prepared for a lot of home renovations – the kitchen, the kids bathroom (remember when I bought all of the stuff to re-decorate their bathroom? Well a certain two decided they wanted a pirates and mermaid themed bathroom so I returned everything I bought and have to start over so to be continued). We also are going to make our living room into a playroom and of course have to plan a nursery so we’ll have a lot going on and I can’t wait! There’s nothing like a baby to light the productivity fire!
