This past week and a half we’ve been making our final plans for our kitchen. We’ve been wanting to re-do our kitchen for a long time and it is finally happening!! I’m so excited and nervous at the same time. I’ve been trying to make decisions that I wouldn’t tire of and that hopefully will stay classic through the years; it’s not like a kitchen is something you re-do every five years! Keeping things simple and bright were on the top of my list.
Our cabinets will be white and we are changing out layout a little bit by adding an island and wine fridge which I’m super excited about! Our pantry will also be slightly bigger with pull out drawers – it’s going to be so much easier to find things! We also decided to go with a quartz counter top that is mostly white with subtle touches of brown and blue. I love that they are virtually indestructible and do not stain. I never used to be a fan of quartz, but they have come a long way from all of the glittery specs. I picked out one that had a marble look to it, which I love! For our back splash, we decided on a Arabesque pattern, I find it to be such a fun pattern.

They should start working on our kitchen in a couple of weeks, and from there we were told it would take about two weeks until it’s completely done. We waited to start working on the kitchen until now during Summer, so it would be easier to not have a kitchen and perhaps move in with a family member until the work is done. I can’t wait to see it completed!
For those that have re-done their kitchen, is there anything you would’ve done differently, or anything that we should? Any tips are welcome!
