I’ve been looking forward to this Monday because I’m joining some pretty stylish ladies for a home series. Every Monday we will be inviting you into our homes and featuring home decor inspiration, and if you know me – you know I love a home tour and home decor talk! Here’s our schedule:
Without further ado, welcome to our home…
Entryway / Living Room
Our entryway is pretty small, I have a bench with a couple of pillows when you first walk in as well as a mirror with a couple of frames on the opposite wall.
We use our living room as more of a sitting room. I go in there, sit on my favorite chairs and have a glass or wine or talk with my girlfriends. It gets the best natural light in the late afternoons, and is my little sanctuary; I’d say this room has the most of my favorite furniture pieces in it, I swoon over my big wall clock daily!
Our dinning room is a bit rustic and it also showcases my love for wine (where are my wino’s at?!). We used an old rake head to store wine glasses and have some wine corks in a shadow box. I also love my mix-matched chairs – it gives a little more color and personality to the room.
This room is pretty basic. We have our Ikea couch that has slip covers – the best invention ever! It makes it so easy to change them out and instantly get an entire new look and to wash them, which is huge with kids.
The kitchen is one of the rooms we can’t wait to re-do (more on that later) but we did spruce it up a bit when we moved in. We painted the dull wood cabinets white and changed out the appliances, faucet and hardware. One day we’ll get our dream kitchen!
I had to clean this room up and snap a few quick pictures before the room quickly became a mess again, you moms know what I’m talking about! This room is all sorts of mismatched and it makes me a little crazy, but no one really sees it and most of the time it’s covered in toys, so what’s the point?! Plus, I don’t think the kids care that the furniture isn’t matching 😉
My Daughter’s Room
I loved putting together this room for my daughter. It’s still a work in progress as we’re slowly putting together her gallery wall, but she has helped me pick out every single thing in her room; and if I may say so, she has pretty good taste!
My Son’s Room
May the force be with you as you see this room. My son is IN LOVE with Star Wars so we decided to give him a Star Wars room. I’m normally against character rooms, but I don’t think guys ever outgrow Star Wars!
I hope you enjoyed a peek into our home, it was virtually impossible to take pictures of the bathrooms due to poor natural lighting, but trust me – you’re not really missing much!
Don’t forget to check out all of these awesome ladies’ home tours too! Have a great day!
