It’s been a while since I did a Wino Wednesday post. While we no longer do the linkup, I’m still going to write about wines that I love and are affordable. Writing these posts have always been my favorites. I see it as a scrapbook of wines that I’ve enjoyed and also a way to share the wines with my readers.
I picked up Casal Garcia’s Vinho Verde at Costco a few weeks ago. It’s an inexpensive, but delicious wine – I think it was $7.99 a bottle. Vinho Verde is in a beautiful light green screw top bottle, which caught my eye immediately. I’m usually leery of screw top bottles, but there are a lot of great wines out there that are in screw tops. The wine itself was a very pale yellow and was slightly effervescent. It was slightly sweet and fruity, the perfect Summer wine. It was the perfect sipping wine while sitting outside but would also be great with chicken or seafood.
If you come across Casal Garcia Vinho Verde be sure to pick it up, I’m sure you will enjoy it!
